Environmental Technician*

Discover how technology and science can protect the environment and human health. Environmental technicians are responsible for monitoring and investigating pollutants—especially, those that affect health— they monitor species, habitat interaction, behaviour changes and environmental impact, all of which is important to create a cleaner and safer environment for everyone and everything.

The UNIFOR Seeding Communities Training Hall has tailored this program to prepare its trainees for work in the rapidly-growing field of environmental technology. In both practical and hands-on field experience, each training is customized to meet the needs and priorities of both the Nations and the local communities. We believe that integrating traditional Indigenous knowledge with scientific fundamentals is the key to protecting and improving the quality of the environment in our communities.
